Why we started Takumi
Finding a good artisan in Nigeria usually means asking around, hoping the person shows up, and paying upfront with no protection if the job goes wrong. Good pros have the opposite problem: they do great work but struggle to find steady customers.
We are building the platform we wanted for our own homes. Every pro is verified before they can take a job. Customers can pay through us, and we only release the money when the work is done. Pros join free and keep everything they earn.
Our name comes from the Japanese word takumi (匠), which means a master craftsman: someone who takes real pride in their work. That is the standard we hold every pro to.
We started in Ibadan and are launching city by city, so every city we open has enough trusted pros to help you quickly.
